Who We Are

The Colorado Harriers are a running club focused on improving distance race performance through structured team training and individual workouts. We welcome all runners of all abilities. We suffer together in tough workouts, cheer each other in races, and celebrate each other with fun social events.

Our founding members are from New York, having run and raced for many years with our sister club, The New York Harriers, founded in 1988. While we've left "The City" behind, the team camaraderie and vibrant club racing scene were things we had to bring with us.

Run Smart...

Anybody can train hard. Performers train smart. Under the guidance of our USATF and RRCA certified coaches, you can become a better runner. We'll help you do it through a smart combination of intensity, recovery, form, and strength. Structured workouts, done with the team and on your own, focus on overall fitness, race-specific goals, injury prevention, and running economy. These elements are incorporated in a detailed plan for multi-year development, single season progression, and targeted race performance.

...play dumb.

All running and no fun is... well... no fun. We like to celebrate our tough workouts, PRs, and disappointments just the same. That means a regular dosage of getting silly together. Parties, social events, and fun runs are part of our DNA. If you're a fun person, welcome.

Membership & donations

There are no dues to be a Harrier, but we gladly accept donations. This helps us cover the costs of coaching certifications, registrations, insurance, carrying costs for gear, and some social activities. A $50 donation gets you a swanky Colorado Harriers singlet (otherwise $25 to purchase), access to individual training plans and coaching, and the adulation of all your friends.

Just want to check things out and train with us for while? There's no cost or commitment, just come out to a workout.

If you're ready to donate, you can use venmo @coloradoharriers, or contact us for other options. Be sure to put "donation" somewhere in the comments. The Colorado Harriers are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. So you will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution.
